Chris Rene is moving into The X Factor Semi-Finals. Rachel Crow Eliminated on The Top 5 Results Show.It was a devastating night for Rachel Crow on The X Factor Top 5 Results Show, as she was eliminated from the competition and will be going home. Tensions were high as the decision came down to X Factor Judge, Nicole Scherzinger. Nicole's choices for elimination were L.A. Reid's boy, Marcus Canty and Rachel Crow.
When host Steve Jones asked for her decision Nicole didn't have the heart to eliminated either of the two contestants and the show went into Deadlock.
This left Marcus Canty and Rachel Crow standing side by side next to Jones who received an envelope contaning the name of the contestant who got the lowest number of votes from The X Factor Top 5 performances last night. Apparently three strikes and you're out does not apply to Marcus Canty, as we learned that Rachel Crow had been eliminated and Marcus Canty will also be moving into the semi-finals.
The question to a lot of Rachel Crow fans might be exactly what was it that her adoptive mother had promised her? When the decision was handed down Rachel feel to the stage and began to sob as her mother ran on stage to comfort the 14 year old. Someones microphone picked up the first words uttered from Rachel to her mother, "You promised me".
We might not ever know what it was that she had promised her, but we do know that Rachel has promised her fans that this will not be the last time her fans will be seeing her. We wish you all of the best in everything that you do Rachel and we are sad to see you go. Who knows you may get lucky enough to grab a spot on your own T.V. show.
After all, Simon did say that you had those types of qualities when you entered this competition. Best of luck to you always.
Rachels "Save Me" for the Top 5 Results Show was a cover of Etta James' I'd Rather Go Blind and Marcus Canty sang a song that was also covered by one of tonight's guest performers on the show, Mary J. Blige. It was I'm Going Down by Rose Royce.
Chris Rene fans be sure to tune in next Wed. night to The X Factor as he moves into the semi-finals and competes his spot in the finals. Have your texting fingers and mouse pointers at the ready to vote for him after the show.
